Two year-old Loren Melisa (cq) drags a bag of harvested tomatoes down her family’s row at the Lonsdale Community Garden on July 7, 2010. Her family tends to a row of vegetables in the garden which is hosting around 100 community members.
This photo was part of a project I have been working on throughout the year on childhood obesity and the work that Knox County is doing within several communities to try and combat the problem. Community gardens are a very rich source for those willing to utilize them, with some families depending on the food for their meals.
